The team

Hotelplan has established the Digital Product & Design team with the aim to transform and establish digital products and services across all of the brands: Interhome.com, Hotelplan.ch, Migros-ferien.ch, travelhouse.ch, vtours.com and others. Key aspects are in-housing the core competencies and creating product ownership. Be an integral part and support to shape our journey from the beginning.

The «Senior SEO Manager (f/m/x)» will take ownership of the SEO roadmap across all products. You will closely work together with the product owners, E-Commerce & Marketing department, CRO as well as the UI/UX and Content Creation teams. You are a proactive player with an entrepreneurial mindset who shares, drives and implements initiatives as well as projects together with the team to optimize the digital customer experience and transform Hotelplan's website as a product.

Your role

• Account for the SEO channel optimization and performance of the brands / domains
• Definition of the SEO strategy, roadmap prioritization, key metrics, as well as content and technical SEO optimizations and automation
• Develop strategies and techniques per brand and destination / category, based on seasonality, potential as well as customer behavior and needs, with the aim of ROI growth
• Drive operational excellence: implement processes and operational workflow in order to scale and ensure quality across websites, markets and landing pages
• Engage closely with the product owners as well as the Data Analytics and Engineering teams to redefine and manage SEO capabilities around tooling, reporting and insights, including competitor, market and internal data analysis
• Ensure regular performance reviews and audits to identify actionable initiatives for improvement of ranking and technical SEO compliance
• Regularly report SEO performance and KPIs
• Closely work and regularly align with the Paid Search department on keyword research and analysis to ensure optimal balance and ROI between organic and paid search
• Share updates and promote best practices on latest SEO trends and impact with the teams
• Organize a joint agenda with internal and external team members (e.g. the Product, Link Building and Content Creation teams, CRO, PR, etc.)

Abilities / qualities

• Relevant experience, e.g. by working in a digital agency, e-commerce or performance marketing environment
• Deep knowledge of SEO tools and techniques
• Expert knowledge involving all aspects of SEO: on- and off-page, content and technical
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Superior understanding of SEO KPIs and deep knowledge on how to build a customized reporting setup
• Strong communication skills and cross-team player to translate business challenges and goals into actionable solutions and initiatives
• Detail-oriented, data-driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented, managing multiple projects
• Entrepreneurial and learning mindset with the drive to fully test and deliver initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal, project management and leadership skills
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Schema.org / RDFa is a plus
• You already have a European work permit
• Ideally fluent in English and/or German
