We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Global Digital SEO who is an expert at and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences via world-class content and SEO. In this leadership role, you’ll develop and drive the overall global Community Support SEO strategy, working collaboratively with global content and knowledge management teams, product, engineering, design, data science, analytics, business and services teams.

You have demonstrated experience achieving impactful results via SEO at a significant scale based on high quality, on brand content. In this role, you will develop the overall strategy for the Airbnb global Customer Support SEO program, and drive execution building our SEO operations at scale.

You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all CS SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo, etc. in order to maximize ROI.

You understand industry trends, front and back end SEO best practices and principles and act as a thought leader, communicating and influencing at all levels of the organization, translating business goals into a clear strategy, and leading cross-functional teams to execute against KPIs, tracking and reporting progress. 

You have managed a team of SEO specialists and believe in developing next generation experts in the art and science of Search Engine Optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of SEO specialists
  • Define KPIs, success metrics and targets for our global community support SEO program and own setting and achieving targets
  • Collect data and report on all aspects of SEO performance for community support content across multiple platforms and types
  • Create a framework for data driven decision making utilizing detailed analytics and testing to broaden impact and engagement
  • Gather and draw insights from the SEO data that can help define areas for improvement and optimization
  • Share actionable insights for global content teams and be the go-to person for writers on SEO, developing in-depth strategy for content, researching content key phrases and generating solutions
  • Drive optimization of website information architecture, content and linking
  • Evaluate technical SEO setup and recommend improvements
  • Oversee experiments, collaborating with content & knowledge management, engineering and product teams
  • Deliver SEO Performance Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Organic Search experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent professional work experience
  • You will bring a minimum of 5 years of relevant Organic Search experience, and you'll have that track record of building winning teams and client case studies
  • A strong understanding of all SEO standard methodologies such as user content optimization, meta-data optimization, SEO-friendly site architecture, technical SEO
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO tools, algorithmic ranking factors, best practices, concepts, statistics, and trends
  • Deep domain of SEO theory and methodologies for ranking signals, user content, meta-data, site architecture and technical SEO
  • Prior experience successfully leading SEO Initiatives and growth at large scale
  • Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
  • Prior experience managing a team preferred
  • Ability to interact and communicate with people at all levels, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration and engagement
  • Proven ability to lead and influence high level business and strategy conversations

The starting base pay for this role is between $185,000 and $230,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Airbnb,Inc. can employ in states where we have registered entities. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware and Rhode Island.
