About the Role

We are hacking experts and this must be reflected in our blog. For this reason, we are on the lookout for a Content Marketing Manager, whose goal will be to make the HTB Blog the go-to place for anything important happening in the cyber world, as well as to drive high traffic and leads to a wide scope of HTB products and services.

You’ll be the go-to person for anything related to our blog, while always strategizing about the content that must be delivered next. We expect you to create a community of writers, both internally (our employees, community moderators) and externally (HTB players, contributors) while fostering great relationships with them. You’ll be partnering with highly technical individuals that will enable you to deliver highly accurate and effective technical content.

Your job won’t stop at the blog, of course. Content marketing doesn’t stop at blogging. You can help us create marvelous press releases, landing pages, ebooks, cheat sheets, and much more!

Finally, it’s vital that you are able to optimize the content (SEO) while providing insights on what works, what doesn’t and track the right KPIs to reach all strategic goals of HTB Blog.

About Hack The Box

Hack The Box is an online platform that allows its users to test, train and enhance their penetration testing skills as well as to exchange ideas and methodologies with other members of similar interests by playing with real-world security issues and vulnerabilities, that are constantly refreshed. HTB community consists of over 1m cybersecurity enthusiasts who use our platform to build their skills in a fun and gamified way. Apart from the community, our b2b solution is used by over 800 corporations, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and education institutes to train their personnel on cybersecurity.


  • Create and have always up-to-date a plan of blog releases, which is aligned with marketing and product priorities
  • Manage a community of content creators by building strong relationships, providing the writers with the right guidelines and the effective incentives
  • Coordinate all monthly blog releases, by partnering with internal technical experts, designers, marketing, and SEO experts
  • Drive what gets published and why
  • Manage others’ articles editorially, aligning them with HTB tone & values
  • Assist with media placements (thought leadership articles)
  • Help along with marketing to distribute/promote the blog in order to increase traffic (promotion ideas and blog repurposing like guest blogging)
  • Monitor the right monthly blog KPIs and work towards increasing performance
  • SEO-optimize existing and new articles
  • Assist occasionally with press releases:
  • Write for the blog as author or co-author


Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with creating a strategy around technical blog content and aligning it with broader strategic goals and other departments
  • Experience with writing SEO optimized articles & optimization published articles
  • Experience with managing a highly technical blog
  • Experience working/collaborating with highly technical SMEs
  • Have worked with writers and designers to give them clear briefs and directions that help them reach their full potential
  • Understanding of content metrics and ability to plan accordingly (e.g., bounce rate, avg. positions, organic conversion rate, etc.)

Important things you should have achieved in your previous role(s):

  • Successfully increase average time on page with meaningful, web-formatted content
  • Achieve higher positions for high-priority keywords

Other Requirements:

  • Perfect English, written and oral
  • Ability to collaborate with many different stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Ability to accept feedback and incorporate it in future work in order to drive continuous improvement
  • Good project management skills (we love Asana)
  • Overall 3-5 years of experience in managing technical marketing content
  • Ideally, you are a professional writer that has past experience with a cybersecurity blog
